Gabilan Administration Building

Gabilan Elementary's New Administration Building

Soledad Unified School District will celebrate the groundbreaking of a new administration building at Gabilan Elementary School on Friday, October 9, 2026, at 4:00 p.m.

The project is funded through Measure E bond funds and represents another investment in improving school facilities for students, staff, families, and the Soledad community.

The project will be completed in phases, beginning with construction of the new administration building. Once the new facility is complete and staff have transitioned into the space, the existing administration building will be demolished. The final phase will include an expansion of the existing staff parking lot.

The new administration building will provide an updated and functional space for school administration while creating a more welcoming and efficient experience for students, families, staff, and visitors.

“This groundbreaking is an exciting milestone for Gabilan Elementary and reflects the District’s continued commitment to improving our school facilities,” said Kevin Sanders, Facilities & Bond Program Manager for Soledad Unified School District. “With the support of our community through Measure E, we are able to make improvements that better support our students, staff, and families.”

The project team includes Pear Tree + Belli Architects as architect, J.L. Construction as general contractor, and Van Pelt Construction Services as construction manager.

Construction of the full project is anticipated to be completed in Fall 2027.
